Categories : IN - At the hotel, published on : 11/5/19
The first breath of winter chill has already arrived, and the festive season is fast approaching. It's time to discover the year-end menu concocted by our chef Jean-Baptiste Ascione. In it you will find the essential spirit of our restaurant and the Hotel Monte Cristo in winter mode!
A meal in the Grand Dictionnaire
The Hotel Monte Cristo is a vibrant and evocative tribute to Alexandre Dumas. The great writer had many interests but was particularly passionate about gastronomy. This led him to write a huge culinary tome called the Grand Dictionnaire de Cuisine, from which we take the name of our restaurant. Our year-end menu offers a tempting range of individual or shared dishes. You can organise your meal as you wish, with one course or as many as you like, in any order. Let's discover what winter and Jean-Baptiste Ascione have in store for us...
Flavours from here and elsewhere...
Are you in a seafood mood? Fish carpaccio of the day, scallops or herring in vinaigrette will surely satisfy your yearning! Provence will tickle your taste buds with its grilled rock octopus. If you’re tempted by Italian-style cuisine, we can tempt you with our focaccia of the day or fregola risotto. How can you resist our platters of cheese or charcuterie, perfectly prepared vegetables such as artichokes, leeks or Jerusalem artichokes? Finally, our winter desserts such as rice pudding or French toast will fill you with a warm nostalgia for childhood to chase the winter blues away!
Cast off the restraints of starter, main course and dessert, and discover the gourmet dishes of the Grand Dictionnaire just as you please. With winter approaching, our chef has prepared recipes that will delight you during your stay at the Hotel Monte Cristo.
