The stunning spectacle of the Bastille Day fireworks display
Categories : OUT - Paris, published on : 6/15/19
Among the highlights of a July 14th in Paris are the military parade on the Champs-Elysees, the flypast of the crack Patrouille de France aerobatic team and, of course, the firefighters' balls that take place in the various Parisian barracks. And then, of course, there’s the spectacular fireworks display over the Seine. Our Hotel Monte Cristo team tells you how to make the most of Bastille Day in Paris.
Fireworks over the Seine
The Bastille Day fireworks are traditionally launched from the Champs de Mars at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, painting the Iron Lady in multihued splendour and illuminating the monuments close to the Seine. Of course, you could mingle with the packed crowd that invades this large public green space. Or you could opt for a dinner cruise on a bateau-mouche river boat. The bateau-mouche operators mark July 14th with a special package. Prepare to embark!
Bastille Day on a bateau-mouche
These exceptional river cruises offer the opportunity to glide through the heart of the capital aboard an elegant bateau-mouche, allowing you to admire superb views of the most beautiful Parisian monuments in complete comfort.
